Eddy Merckx builds race bikes for those cyclists looking for a unique bicycle with extraordinary features so we can chase as many victories as Merckx himself. Like the rest of this brand's competition-worthy steeds, the Strasbourg71 Disc Gravel Frameset features a forward-thinking design with superb attention to detail. Take this bike for a spin on those hardpack back roads or up a canyon after work.
We start off with a durable and lightweight unidirectional carbon fiber frame and fork, where the frame also consists of impact-resistant material below the downtube and behind the seat tube. This is a benefit to us as gravel riders since we are consistently kicking up rocks underneath us. This frameset features a road geometry for a versatile ride where we can sit comfortably over miles of choppy gravel or smooth pavement, though we may want to switch up our 700c tires. The wide clearance of the front and rear forks allows for rubber up to 40mm, and the frame is constructed to accommodate travel bags and water bottle cages for our next great adventure.
