The Northern California Coast and Santa Cruz Mountains are steeped in road riding history. To honor it, Praxis Works named its new top-level crank Zayante, after the fabled redwood-covered climb that's a secret training ground for many local pros. The Zayante Carbon is the ultimate marriage of lightness, stiffness and versatility.
Carbon Fiber Road Chainset
Made exclusively in Praxis Works' own carbon lab, the Zayante is a homegrown product from start to finish. From initial napkin sketches, to rapid prototyping, revision after revision, exhaustive testing and certification for production. Developed and made in-house with the brand's hybrid "RTM+Filimant Winding" manufacturing methods, everything is done by a dedicated team.
Modular 2x10/11 Speed Design
Today bikes need to tackle not only smooth roads, but also beat up gravel and every so often, side routes with plenty of cobbled up sidewalk. The Zayante and its direct mount interface can easily transform from 2X to 1X with just 3 bolts. So whatever your ride, route or need may be, build it up as you please and how you want. It is modular and does everything equally well.
LevaTime II X-Spider and X-Rings
With its elegant and shapely carbon arms the Zayante is in a class of its own. This past year Praxis Works went further and updated it with its new LevaTime II X-Spider and X-rings. Now weighing in at a feathery 620 grams the Zayante Carbon has improved on its already solid reputation as the go-to crank carbon crank for riders globally.
3-Bolt Direct Mount Interface
We know power is important, and having options is key. Thanks to the Zayante Carbon’s 3-Bolt direct-mount interface, riders can easily go purchase and mount an aftermarket spider-based power meter from companies like Power2Max or SRM. Other options include power meter pedal systems from Garmin, LOOK or even meters like the VeloComp Power Pod. Options are always good.
M30 BB86 Bottom Bracket
This chainset comes complete with a Praxis Works M30 BB86 bottom bracket. Praxis M30 bottom brackets have a 30mm Drive and a 28mm NonDrive Bearing. These are specifically made for use with Praxis M30 spindle cranks. A drive-side wave washer is used for preload of the bearings.
Born and based in the cycling mecca of Santa Cruz, California, Praxis creates and manufactures some of the best bicycle parts on the globe.
